This week the club held the first event of the Heavy Woollen season, Ian Sidebottom my senior assistant is representing the club as Captain for 2021 and we get to hold the three events for the year the first been the Arnold Skinner Trophy...

A timesheet was full and our members managed to have a clean sweep in the prizes...

We also had a hole in one on the day with our most popular member achieving this on the 16th John ‘Noddy’ Newsome, he shocked a few of us by celebrating with a bottle of Whiskey and two bottles of Rum, this will be the first time he’s actually bought any of us a drink...

Winning the event was one of my hard-working students Mick Foster and his partner John ‘Batley news’ Senior with a 62 beating Michael Parker and George Butterworth on the back nine...
