Pro's competiton weekend results
Firstly I'd like to apologise for the delays on teeing off at the weekend, it was a mixture of everyone wanting to get back out after a month off and maybe I should have played the competitions over 14 holes instead of 16. To say everyone hasnt played much or any golf for 4 weeks the scoring was exceptional. On the Saturday the competition was a 4 person team with 2 to score Stableford. Winning with 83 points, 19 under par was the team of Bob Smith, John Wilcock, Tony Bentley and Mick Gordon, well done lads great score. In second place was the team of Kim Walker, Steve Clay, Steve Leather and Matt Whitehead only one point behind with 82 points. The only two on Saturday was by Jacob Scargill who won 24 balls. Well done pal. On the Sunday the competition was a 4BBB Medal, again some strong scores, winning with 51 a pair who before lockdown were hitting some form Trevor Hooley and Phil Blackburn well done guys, the mid week practices are obviously paying off. Winning in Division 1 were Franny Nelson and James Byrne withh 55 beating Jeff G Button and Alister Williams on the best back one who also had better back nines than another 2 cards. In Division 2 my winter alliance partner Chris Smith and Club Champ Danny Stott won with a score of 53 beating Mick Scott and Steve Hubbard by 2 shots. All results can be found here. |
