Weather was good, hospitality from the captain and his team was first class, and the members who played raised over £500 for the captain's charity, well done to all involved... The top 16 scores qualified to the Wednesday evening play-off, will my most senior assistant hold off the pack behind him, Sidey shot a great score of 64, course set up is never easy on a Captain's weekend, so any score mid-'60s is good, Ian is closely followed by Lucas Bardon on 65, then we have three 67's and three 68's it's going to be close, good luck to all who's qualified.

Another delay
Unfortunately, there has been another delay to the start of the Club 59 draw. The club is still running the bonus ball draw for another month and I will now look to start the draw on the first week of September. Anyone that still wants to select a number, just pop into the shop and pick an available number. We have just over 20 numbers left.

Government guidelines
Due to the new government guidelines, any customer to enter the shop will have to wear a face mask covering both nose and mouth, to help ease the restrictions I will put a table with scorecards and small sale items across the entrance, I will allow members/customers into the shop but they will need a mask, I hope this does not cause too much of an inconvenience, thanks for your co-operation. With regards to the Simulator, we are waiting on finding out what guidelines are required, But hopefully, be open over the weekend.

Tiger returns! Tiger Woods made his return to golf at The Memorial Tournament, playing at a Jack Nicklaus-designed course alongside Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. That’s pretty cool! Muirfield Village, better known as Jack’s Place, proved to be a brutal beast. 3-over was enough to make the cut and even-par enough for a share of 10th, with even the world’s best notching double and triple bogeys. Jon Rahm became just the second Spaniard in history, behind Seve Ballesteros, to become World No.1 after a convincing victory in Ohio. Despite going +5 on Sunday’s back-nine, Rahm cruised to a three-stroke win. Rahm’s final score of -9 will not jump off the page of PGA Tour winners, but numbers could never tell the story of just how much Jack’s Place demanded.
