Hopefully, you’ve had the chance to enjoy the beautiful weather of late and get out on the golf course for a round of golf. This week’s email is packed full of great features. Be sure to scroll down to the Video of the Week to see some amazing Harry Houdini moments from the European Tour. We’re also talking wedges, landing spots when chipping, and we have our monthly quiz for you to give a go (this might just be our best yet!). Stay safe and enjoy the read.

We're here for your golfing needs... With lots of you taking this opportunity to dust off the cobwebs and play golf again, we wanted to remind you of our Order and Collect service. If there's anything you're after, let us know and we'll get it ready for you to collect before you next play. We're following the government's guidelines and best practices from shops across the country to ensure everyone's safety is prioritised. |

Since our last newsletter, Rory McIlroy – the number one ranked golfer in the world – has said he “had a hunch” that September’s Ryder Cup will be postponed. Whilst no decision has been made, the European Tour has confirmed it'll be returning 'behind closed doors' in July. The first event will be the British Masters at Close House; the first of six consecutive tournaments on British soil. Who knows, maybe by the time the second UK Swing comes around in October – Dunhill Links, Scottish Open and BMW PGA Championship – things may look a little different. Let us know what you think by sending us a message here.

Lockdown rules relaxing...
|
With new rules put in place from 1st June, you are now allowed to play in 2,3 and 4 balls, we are getting closer to normality on the golf course, but have just playing 9 holes in 2 balls changed your views on the game...
Maybe we could bring in a new 9 hole weekly competition when we get back to competitive golf, the feed back from most members is that they have enjoyed just playing 9 holes. The handicap committee are at present trying to sort out the clubs board competitions and hopefully we can start these from July and fit the majority of events in over the rest of the season. |

Golf's greatest comebacks Everyone loves a comeback. Europe's remarkable victory in last year's Solheim Cup immediately springs to mind. But, as much as we love watching it happen at the time, can you remember the details? Our monthly quiz for June will test your knowledge in this department. If anything, it's a great excuse to relive some of golf's most memorable moments. Good luck!
