Centenary Club Fourball Results Another weekend of outrageous scoring, I understand the course is shorter, but with the greens being bumpy and soft, you would expect that it would make it hard to hole putts from inside ten feet. Nevertheless, the low scores keep coming in...
Winning Division 1, with a score of 46 points was Franny Nelson and Joe Ratcliffe - another winning finish for Franny, as he just keeps improving. Looks like the time he spends in the simulator is paying off, playing and having a monthly lesson helping me keep my win coaching stats up. I was told a long time ago from my very first coach you only get out what you put in and this is definitely proving correct with Franny’s results over the last six months
In second place, with a score of 45 points and beating two other pairs with a better back nine holes, was Jeff G Button and Alister Williams. Great to see some different names collecting winnings over the winter season.
In Division 2, there was some noticeable progress for one of our winners. After watching and trying to help this member try to find a golf swing and thought process that works, maybe he has finally turned a corner! Fantastic to see as I did think, at one stage, he might just give but up he’s kept battling on. With the patience and help from his winter partner, they have got their rewards. Awesome stuff and well done to Trevor Hooley and last year’s Hanging Heaton Cup runner up, Dave Barker. What a score, 49 points, 13 under par and winning by 2 points.
In second place was another new pairing who defied odds to gel as they did - Ian M Booth and Carlton ‘can’t use these f****** mats’ Whiteley. Well done, guys.
