Centenary Fourball Not a great start to the first winter fourball with 24 hours of non-stop rain... With the course closed all day Saturday it was not the start our new captain wanted, instead, Brian and myself watched England beat New Zealand in the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup! This was the first time I’ve been in the company of a scots man who was wanting England to win, thanks Brian for your support. On Sunday the course was opened and members turned up surprised at how well the course had drained, we ran a club fourball which was won by Stuart Wailes and Mo Coe with 42 points followed in second place by Dave ‘the Destroyer’ Barker and Mark Senior with 39 points. We did have some controversy a past captain got a little mixed up with the rules and he and his partner (wrong partner) also scored 42 points but in the end, got disqualified.
