Lady Captain's News What a weekend! Rain and more rain, it was certainly wet and miserable with no golf at HHGC. Always a tough decision for Mr Captain to make to close the course. But as I wandered round a very wet track early on Sunday morning (and from a purely selfish note), I was relieved to receive the closure news.
This week brings last-minute planning for my Lady Captain’s Trip to Rudding Park at the weekend. A great course and a beautiful location. I hope and pray the weather is kind to us. I am sure there will be a story or two to tell next week. May I take this opportunity of thanking Bob Pearson (Wednesday Lads Captain) who invited me to be the “starter” for his captain’s trophy this week. I fully enjoyed the experience. As you will no doubt imagine there was a little bit of banter here and there on the 1st tee, all in good fun. The Wednesday lads have always been generous in their support of the ladies autumn fayre held each October, therefore I was delighted to be able to give a little back today and to help my old mate Bob.
Thank you gents for your hospitality. Happy golfing. Judi B
