Saturday's Competition On Saturday I ran a 4 person team with 1 to score on par 3's, 2 to score on par 4's and 3 to score on par 5's. Well done to Steve Leather, Kim Walker, Matt Whitehead and Steve Clay with a score of 67 points, in what was really tough, testing conditions. In second place was a three man team of Paul Main, Carl Farrar and the Rabbits Vice Captain and pupil Steve Halloran with a score of 64. |
4BBB Stableford Sunday was a 4BBB Stableford and the winning pair were James Richardson and Chris Swift with 38 points. That includes a no score on the last hole!
Winners of Division 1 were Jeff G Button and past Captain Alister Williams with a score of 37 points. Winners of Division 2 were Stuart Robinson and Mark Senior with a score of 36 points. Click here to see all of this weekends results. |

Welcome back Paul Only 5 weeks after his replacement knee operation, Paul Titman was back on the course playing 11 holes yesterday, welcome back Paul!
Amazing how quickly people are recovering from major operations, I know that Nigel Walsh had his knee operation last week, hopefully he will have the same success. |
A reflection On a sad note, Steve Tattersfield passed away on Sunday. He will be missed by all of us, especially his great mates Trev, Phil and Pete. I’m sure we will all have a story to tell about Steve... |
R & A rules changes Starting in January 2019, there will be a lot of new rules in place. Please have a look online or read the new rules books available in the clubhouse.
The rules will either cost you or save you shots. In my experience, you’re better knowing than not knowing the correct rule and procedure. |
On a final note... On a final note, I would like to thank you all for your continued support, hopefully you will continue to read my newsletters in the 2019 season. Have a great Xmas and all the best for the coming year… Gareth. |
We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles. |
What does your graph look like? As the year comes to an end, it's important to take stock and examine where you can improve your game going into the new year. There might be several areas that you want/need to work on, or maybe just two or three finer details that will take your game to the next level. |
Whatever those areas are, we're here to help. We can identify the key reasons you're not shooting the scores you want, as well as devise a personalised winter coaching plan to help iron out those faults and get you paying your best golf. So, if you want to see your handicap tumble in 2019, come down to the shop for a chat - you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. |
