U.S. Open Yet again the USGA made a right mess of such a prestigious tournament, big Phil decided to play hockey. Bad course set up made the majority of players look stupid, it’s the only sport I know where we can make the world’s best look the world’s worst apart from our England Football Team.
As a spectator I want to watch these guys perform at the best and show us how good they are, not to chop it out of three foot high rough and play shots to miss a green to give them more of a chance of making a par. By Sunday, the USGA listened to the comments made still had the course set up tough but not ridiculous, now we could sit and enjoy the players perform. Tommy Fleetwood shot a great score of 63 equalling the lowest score at a U.S. Open, just a shot off the eventual winner Brooks Koepka who apart from the last hole played solid golf with few errors and held his nerve down the stretch to be come back to back U.S. Open Champion. |
