Rock on Tommy! What a weekend! It all came down to the back nine on the Earth course for who would be the Race to Dubai winner for 2017. Justin Rose was coasting and Tommy Fleetwood was slipping away, but a back nine of two over par cost Justin the title. A fantastic achievement for Tommy who 18 months ago was on the verge of losing his tour card and also battling the yips with the putter. His game has turned around and on the whole European golf is starting to look stronger, so hopefully we can up our game for the Ryder Cup and bring the Trophy back! What a year for my good friend Stormy! It just shows how the game of golf can turn around, last year finished just outside the top 110 to keep his card, looking like he had to go back to the Tour School, the news came that Patrick Reed wasn’t fulfilling the required number of events to play and Stormy had regained his tour card. Six weeks later he’s beating Rory McIlroy in a play-off and all of a sudden the game becomes easier and a hell of a lot less stressful! Stormy finished 39th in the Race to Dubai with just over a Million euro’s earned, hopefully he might buy me a pint next time we catch up lol!
